USIT School Tours Blog - Paris with Paula

Paula, one of our Tour Advisors here at usit school tours, spent some time in Paris. here's how she got on.

Paris is the city of love and I can see why people would fall in love with this city, from views of iconic sights to strolling down small streets discovering cute little creperies and street artists displaying their work.

It's easy to move around the city...

I found it very easy to get around Paris by using the metro, the city is so well connected and even without the underground trains a lot of the sights are within walking distance of each other making it easy to find your way around. There is so much to see in the city I would recommend doing some research online and making a list of sights and an itinerary in order to cover as much as possible. When you think, you’ve seen everything, you find new visits, new streets, or café’s to explore. It’s impossible to see it all in one trip which is why an itinerary to keep you on track is a good idea and can help find attractions that are close to each other in order to save time.

The Bateaux Mouches is a must-do on a trip to Paris...

We saw so many attractions during our short stay including the iconic Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame Cathedral, Sacre Coeur, Moulin Rouge, and Pompidou Centre. However, one of my favourite things we did while in Paris was taking the Bateaux Mouches sightseeing cruise on the River Seine. I found it was a lovely way to see the beautiful views of the city at night. We got to see the Eiffel tower light up, this happens on the hour, every hour at night. It was a great way to get to see famous buildings, galleries and views from the river. It is well worth an hour of your time and each boat departs from Pont de l’Alma every 20 minutes.

The magic of Disneyland® Paris...

We spent one of our days at Disneyland® Paris. Disneyland is an amazing place that lived up to my expectations, it was simply magical. From the themed rollercoasters and rides, daytime parade, stage shows and nighttime lights show to the Disney Village for entertainment and drinks I was amazed. We used fast passes on some of the rides which were very useful to save time queuing. It is worth keeping a lookout for rides that included fast passes, that would be my recommendation for time spent in the park. All in all, It was a great experience and I would definitely recommend making an itinerary before going to Paris to maximize time spent in such a beautiful city.
