Valencia - City of Science

Valencia has it all. Historical architecture, a highly regarded botanical garden, a BIOPARC with a bulging ecosystem and the truly impressive City of Arts and Sciences. A lovely city to explore!

Here's a sample of a science itinerary for Valencia...there are some great ideas here

Day Morning Afternoon Evening
1 Depart for Alicante Airport for your visit to Valencia On arrival in the afternoon you will be transferred to the Valencia Botanical Gardens. Founded in 1567, originally for the study of medicinal plants the Gardens are host to 3,000 species of trees and plants, specially the palm and the cactus! Check into your accommodation and enjoy and evening meal
2 This morning, you will take a guided tour of the city. You’ll see the highlights like the Cathedral, the Royal Basilica of the Virgin of the Forsaken, Almoina Square and La Reina Square. You’ll then head over to BIOPARC Valencia, where you’ll experience 100,000m2 of Equatorial Forest, African Wetlands, Madagascar Island and African Savannah. This ecosystem here is a great example of how animals, vegetation and landscape co-exist. After your evening meal you could go bowling
3 Today you will spend time at the impressive looking City of Arts and Sciences. Visit the interactive Science Museum with exhibitions on DNA, Space and Sport there is something for everyone in this hands-on museum. Why not add a visit to the Hemisfèric while you’re there. This building resembles a giant eye! It is known as the “eye of knowledge” and inside you can get up close to the galaxy at the planetarium and IMAX cinema.You could also check out the Oceanogràfic – Europe’s largest aquarium. It’s home to 500 different species of dolphins, belugas, walruses, sea lions, seals, penguins, turtles, sharks to name but a few! After your evening meal you will return to your accommodation
4 On your last day you will visit Terra Mitica theme park for some adrenaline pumping fun!The park is split into 5 themed zones: Egypt, Greece, Rome, Iberia, and the Islands of the Mediterranean. Will you be brave enough to ride Titánide, Synkope or The Fury of Triton? Fear not, there’s plenty on offer at Terra Mitica to suit everyone! Depart for home
